The climate varies according to the part of the country you visit. From the mountains to deserts and the outback to the beaches, the sights and sounds of everything will amaze and astound you. There are so many different regions and cities that you can visit, you might not be able to fit them all into one trip.

Australia Attractions

City of Sydney

The Opera house and Sydeney Harbour Bridge get all the glory, but also visit Botany Bay Park to see the place where Captain Cook first landed in Australia. The park itself is separated in two places, La Perouse and Kurnell- and straddles the headlands of both bays. Kurnell is also quite close to the beaches of Cronulla. While much smaller than other national parks, Botany Bay has trails for walking, museums and has great fishing spots, where you dont need a license. There is also great diving and snorkeling here and is a fantastic place for whale watching.

City of Melbourne

Take in a cricket match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and take a ride on the Puffing Billy Railway when you visit Melbourne. See the renowned collection of paintings by world famous artists when you visit the National Gallery of Victoria with Aboriginal art and that of famous Australian artists. The spectacular view of the city from Luna Park is surely not one to miss. This amusement park has entertainment for all ages.

Other major attractions in Australia include Ayers Rock and the Great Barrier Reef.

Travel to Australia

You will have to take a flight from Los Angeles or San Francisco, when you plan to visit Australia, unless you are in Southeast Asia. All major International airports in Southeast Asia offer flights to the major Australian cities. Inside the country, you can rent a car, travel by bus or fly to the airports located around the country.

Food and Drinks in Australia

In Australia, you can get all your favorite foods. Cuisine from all over the world is offered at the restaurants as well as traditional foods, such as meat pies and kangaroo steaks. Each region has its own specialties, but you do have to sample the "bush tucker", which is a combination of flour and water cooked in the coals of a campfire.

Languages in Australia

The official language of Australia is English. Aboriginal languages are spoken in Tribal areas.

Australia is quite a safe country to visit. You do have to be careful, just as you do in your own city and use common sense when you are out at night. The water is safe to drink, although you might not like the taste of it.

From the small markets to the large shopping malls, you will be truly amazed at your experience.
