You do have to be vigilant when visiting Israel and keep to the main tourist areas. If you travel off the beaten track, you could be putting yourself at risk.

When you are shopping on vacation, Israel offers a wide choice in locations to shop. If you shop at a market, you are expected to bargain. Buying leather goods is very popular with tourists to Israel and if you pay in foreign currency, you will enjoy a discount of 25%. You just have to remember that the Arab and Jewish shopping locations have different opening and closing hours and Sunday is a normal working day here.
