El Salvador

Most of this country is volcanic uplands and active volcanoes. San Salvador is the largest city and has many attractions for visitors of all ages. Visit the many museums, the Cathedral and the amusement park at San Jacinto. The mountains of Guatemala hide many gems for tourists to discover. Lake Atitlan is one of the most popular tourist destinations in this country. It has an ideal climate and even during the rainy season (May to October), the sun does shine everyday. Bocas del Toro has exceptional diving along its coast and there are beautiful white sandy beaches where you can relax on the strand in between swims in the warm water. Consider a tour into authentic Indian villages and sail up a river through a steaming jungle. Take a tour of a coffee farm in Boquete and the more adventurous can take a trip to the top of the Baru Volcano. Hiking and horseback riding are very popular activities, in addition to strolling along the streets of the town.
